Location: Gloucestershire
Salary: £28,000 – £34,500/ annum (dependent on experience)
Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year
Contract Type: Permanent

About the Role:

We are working with an well respected college to help find a dedicated English Functional Skills Tutor. The successful candidate will deliver high-quality teaching in English to SEND learners. You will exhibit exemplary teaching skills, have outstanding organisational abilities, and be flexible and adaptable to meet the diverse needs of learners with learning disabilities and difficulties.

What will you be doing?

Plan and delivering levels 1 and 2 Functional Skills English lessons to 16-19 year odl SEND students 
Use different teaching methods and tools, including technology, to make learning engaging and inclusive.
Assess learners fairly and help them understand and take responsibility for their progress.
Work with colleagues and external organizations to support learners’ needs. What do you need?

a recognised UK Teaching Qualification
Experience delivering Functional Skills English
Minimum Level 3 in Mathematics and English.
Experience teaching learners with special educational needs is higly desirable although not essential

Salary of £28,000 – £34,500/ annum (dependent on experience)
