Lean Manufacturing Manager

39 hours a week – Monday to Thursday 7.30-4.30, Friday 7.30-12.30

Up to £45,000 per year depending on experience + bonus

** A full UK driving licence is required**

About you

A dynamic and experienced Lean Manufacturing Manager to lead continuous improvements at our cooker manufacturing facility in Long Eaton. You will drive change through revised methodologies, cost reduction, parts rationalisation, and improved efficiencies. A solid understanding of lean principles and best practices is essential for ensuring timely delivery of change and continuous improvement.

About the role

Reporting to the Manufacturing Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operations at our Long Eaton facility, ensuring production meets schedule and quality standards. You will provide leadership in continuous improvement and adopt a culture of operational excellence within the wider manufacturing team.

Key responsibilities:

* Drive proactive quality and ensure KPI targets are met by assembly teams

* Optimise MRP systems for efficient workflow and output

* Maximise operational efficiency by scheduling and resource management

* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues

* Lead process improvements and support lean initiatives

Skills & Experience:

* Proven experience in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement and strategy implementation

* Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities within a manufacturing environment

* Familiarity with MRP systems and Statistical analysis

* KPI delivery and management

* Expertise in Scheduling, output optimisation and operational efficiency

* Material control and ‘Just in Time’ methodologies

* HNC/HND qualification in Engineering (Preferred)
