Job Title: Site Supervisor
Location: Thorpe Hesley Project
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Thorpe Hesley project. This role involves managing site activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and coordinating with the Site Manager to ensure the project is completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and manage daily operations on the construction site, ensuring all activities are carried out according to the project plan.
* Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of construction workers and subcontractors.
* Ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and meets quality standards.
* Inspect and review projects to monitor compliance with building and safety codes, and other regulations.
* Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
* Prepare and submit budget estimates, progress reports, and cost tracking reports.
* Implement health and safety measures, ensuring all workers follow these protocols.
* Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
* Order or requisition materials and supplies needed for construction.
* Coordinate with the Site Manager and other professionals such as contractors, architects, and engineers.
Qualifications:
* Proven experience as a Site Supervisor
* Strong understanding of construction procedures, building codes, safety regulations, and project management principles.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
* Ability to prepare and interpret schedules, budgets, and reports.
* Relevant certifications such as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) safety certification are preferred.
About the Project: The Thorpe Hesley project is divided into two phases. Phase 1 includes site compound establishment works such as de-vegetation, earthworks (levelling compound), fence installation, and other minor works. Phase 2 involves major earthworks, including re-grading approximately 4 acres of land, installing lagoons, and conducting water treatment works
