Sphere Solutions are seeking experienced Engineering Surveyors / Surveying Engineers to join major infrastructure projects in the South West. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale schemes, using cutting-edge technology in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities:

✅ Manage and interpret 3D models using Trimble Works OS – no batter rails or pegs in the ground.
✅ Provide real-time model adjustments in the field and liaise with machine operators.
✅ Conduct regular as-built surveys using GPS rovers and process data into accurate cut/fill take-offs using LSS software.
✅ Support project progress and provide commercial updates.
✅ Ensure all works comply with Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
✅ Complete digital quality inspection records using tablets to capture progress and confirm specification compliance.
✅ Collaborate closely with all project stakeholders, ensuring open communication and information sharing.

Requirements:

✔ Proven experience as an Engineering Surveyor or Surveying Engineer in the construction or civil engineering sectors.
✔ Strong understanding of machine control technology and 3D modelling using Trimble Works OS.
✔ Proficiency with LSS software for data processing.
✔ Demonstrable experience with GPS rover surveys and generating accurate reports.
✔ Knowledge of ITPs and digital quality management systems.
✔ Ability to adapt to changing designs and provide practical solutions on-site.
✔ Strong communication and collaboration skills – no silos here!
