SEN Teaching Assistant

Tradewind Recruitment are working alongside a school in Nottingham who are looking to add an SEN Teaching Assistant to their team to begin ASAP.

The school is currently graded as 'Good' by OFSTED and has an excellent leadership team within the school. The school also has fantastic facilities a supportive and engaging Senior Management Team.

Main Responsibilities:

Supporting children in year 4 and year 1 who present with autism, SEMH and ADHD
Providing a tailored curriculum to help engage the children within the class
Working on a 1:1 basis to help children engage within lessons
Liaising with the class teacher and school SENCO around progress of the pupils
Supporting the classroom teacher with the preparation of lessons
Leading small academic interventions with children working below age expected levels
Using the school's behaviour and reward policies to help engage the childrenExpectations from the School:

Has previous experience working with special needs
Able to build relationships with children who struggle to engage
An effective communicator
Can manage the behaviour of childrenPay Rates

The daily rate of pay will vary depending on experience, ranging from £85 to £120.
