Role- Senior Project Manager

Salary- Dependent on experience

Type- Permanent

Location- Surrey

My client designs, manufactures and services electro-mechanical products and they are looking to take on a Senior Project Manager for a new projects team, on a permanent basis, in the Surrey area.

The Senior Project Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

BEng/ BSc qualification or similar in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering
Approx. 8 or more years of experience in other Project Manager / Senior Project Manager roles
Previous experience working in a product environment (mechanical, software, hardware, service etc.)
Experience of project delivery in a complex product environment
Prince2, PMI or APM qualification would be desirable
Previous experience operating Planning and Estimating standards
Strong leadership capabilities
Excellent proficiency working with MS Office
Have excellent communication skillsThe Senior Project Manager role will involve:

Leading and driving high-impact projects and ensuring the successful execution of them
Making sure they’re delivered on-time and in budget
Always having a risk controlled approach
Mentoring Project Managers and liaising with the projects team
Always driving continuous improvement
Overseeing preparation for gate assurance
Adhering to governance standards and frameworks
Ensuring projects meet project plans – including scheduling and estimating
