The Role
Timeplan Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Headteacher to join the school leadership team from mid January 2025. This role will have a specific focus on behaviour, ensuring that all pupils have the structure, guidance, and support they need to thrive.
Contract: Long-term sickness cover until the end of the academic year (July 2025) with potential for a permanent role starting in September 2025.
Salary: In line with the main scale pay and based on experience.
Essential Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Previous leadership training and experience.
Previous experience working within an SEN provision.Key Responsibilities
Lead on behaviour strategies and initiatives across the school.
Provide guidance and support to staff to ensure consistency in behaviour management.
Work closely with parents, carers, and external professionals to support pupils' individual needs.
Contribute to the strategic leadership of the school alongside the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team.What We Are Looking For
Proven experience working with pupils with SEN, particularly those with communication and interaction needs.
A strong understanding of behaviour management strategies in a SEN setting.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
