Assistant Accountant - Harrow

Red Sky Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction company in Harrow, seeking an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong analytical skills and attention to detail to contribute to a growing business in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing financial statements and reports
Perform bank, credit card, and other financial account reconciliations
Support month-end and year-end close processes
Maintain accurate financial records
Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
Process accounts payable and receivable transactions
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Assist with audit schedules and liaise with auditors
Provide support for ad-hoc financial projects and analysis

Qualifications and Skills

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (beneficial but not essential)
Part-qualified, studying, or qualified by experience
Experience in an accounting role
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
