An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and inspirational Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) Teacher, specialising in both Spanish and French, to step up into a Head of MFL role at an Ofsted rated 'Good' secondary school in Faversham. Supply Desk are working with the school who are seeking a dynamic and passionate individual to lead their MFL department, ensuring high-quality language education across Key Stages 3 and 4.

About the Role:

As Head of MFL, you will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities and drive forward the department’s success. You will:

Teach Spanish and French across KS3 and KS4, with opportunities to introduce advanced KS5 teaching in the future
Lead the MFL department, managing curriculum development and improving student outcomes in language learning
Collaborate with senior leadership to shape and deliver an engaging, inclusive curriculum
Play a key role in supporting the school’s vision for high achievement and exceptional language learning
Oversee the professional development of the MFL team, offering mentorship and guidance where needed
Work closely with colleagues to champion the disadvantaged agenda, ensuring all students have access to the very best opportunities

Has significant experience teaching both Spanish and French across Key Stages 3 and 4
Is passionate about delivering exceptional language education and improving student attainment
Is ready to take on additional responsibility in leading and developing the MFL department

Is a committed team player with a positive and inclusive approach to teaching
