1. WHY – Purpose: As Sales Director, you will be expected to lead the team and strategic direction of the Sales function to ensure growth and profitability targets are meet. The role you’ll play is one of visionary, but pragmatist. You will be responsible for developing and delivering sales strategy for the company, product range or designated market while providing vision, direction and leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Your responsibilities will include:

• Developing strategy, tactics, sales plans and profit targets and monitoring effectiveness

• Achieving targets for revenue, profitability and sales growth

• Achieving targets set and delivering objectives responsibly

• Implementing a variety of new business initiatives to drive sales

• Will set & keep the sales standards for the company and will be able to report on the performance against these standards

• Will keep the Operational standards of the company

• Foster a ‘Culture of Trust’

• Implementing an effective sales pipeline and lead tracking process

• Being responsible and accountable for developing and executing business strategies to deliver growth in accordance with the strategic plans

• Taking responsibility for profit and loss

• Developing and executing strategic plan to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base

• Providing direction to your direct reports and delivering a development plan for all sales leaders in our business

• Overseeing performance management of under-performing sales staff

• Implementing best practice in sales techniques throughout the department

• Only do ‘good’ business

1. RESULTS – Outputs:

* 125% Of Schedule 5 Targets

* Profitability over base costs

* Perfect partner Achievement Across the 4 Area’s

* Each Sales and Sales Team Leader/Manager to have a Development Card Reviewed Quarterly

* EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED The ideal candidate should have:

* • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and get the best out of a team, proven with experience

* • Experience of leading a sales team, with proven results of success

* • Strong commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial approach to business development

* • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and delivery of results to business plans

* • Ability to communicate, present and influence all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level

* • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills

* • Advanced research skills using a variety of data sources

* • Good analytical and creative problem-solving skills

* • Excellent attention to detail

* • Strong organizational and time management skills - must adhere to deadlines, multi-task and be able to prioritize

* • Ability to learn quickly and manage workload in a cooperative and demanding environment

* • Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office, database systems and experience of data analysis

* • A knowledge of and interest in communications technology preferred
