Are you an experienced Assistant Accountant looking for your next challenge? I’m recruiting for an exciting 4–6 month temporary position with a well known Cambridge based organisation.  If you thrive in an all round role and want to make an immediate impact, this could be the perfect role for you. This role is a full time position, ideally looking to commence towards the end of January/start of February, and is newly created to support the team's workload. 

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

Managing the purchase ledger, processing supplier invoices, setting up payments, handling reviews and approvals, and resolving queries.
Supporting month-end tasks such as accruals, prepayments, journals, and analysis.
Ensuring transactional processes are accurate and compliant with statutory and legal requirements.
Working with colleagues to keep processes up-to-date and communicating changes to staff.
Providing accurate and timely reporting to support decision-making.As the successful candidate you will ideally have the following attributes:

Previous experience in a similar role.
A solid understanding of month-end and year-end processes.
Confidence in performing reconciliations accurately.
Knowledge of effective financial systems and controls.
