We currently have a great opportunity for an Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator to join our Care Plus Community Wellbeing team on a part-time, permanent basis.

The Role

As an Engagement and Volunteer Coordinator, you will lead on specific customer engagement projects within Care Plus, identifying new initiatives and funding opportunities to support them. You will recruit and manage volunteers working within Care Plus and on specific engagement projects, in line with the volunteer policy and procedures within Care Plus and HPG. You will also support colleagues in Housing Plus Group (HPG) Extra Care schemes, Retirement Living schemes and Independent Living schemes in delivering engagement opportunities to maximise resident/customer involvement and participation and share best practice regarding customer engagement and volunteering throughout Care Plus and HPG to ensure an equitable and consistent approach.

Skills and experience required:

* Experience of working with volunteers to support activities with customers

* Experience of recruiting and coordinating volunteers

* Experience of working with customers and stakeholders, face to face and/or on the telephone

* Experience of successfully engaging with diverse groups of people

* Experience of facilitating community activities with relevant risk assessment

* Experience of working within social housing

* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adapt communication style to suit audience

* Able to work alone effectively, using own initiative, and to work in a team effectively too

* Ability to work with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)

Due to the nature of this post, the role is subject to an Enhanced and Adult Barred DBS disclosure.
