First Aider - Oldham - September 2024

A dedicated and passionate First Aider is required to work at a popular secondary school in Oldham, to join them on a full-time basis, likely to be for the full academic year on a full-time basis.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate First Aid Officer to join a 'Good' secondary school in Oldham. As the First Aid Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and safety of the students and staff. You will be responsible for providing immediate care to students and staff members who are injured or fall ill during school hours, maintaining first aid supplies, and managing the school's health records. Assess situations quickly and make decisions regarding the need for further medical treatment or calling emergency services. Maintain accurate records of all incidents, treatments, and outcomes.

Location - Oldham

Position - First Aider

Start date - ASAP

Contract type - Full time

Minimum rate of pay - from £100 per day.

Hours - 8:00-15:50

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS:

First aider needs to have the equivalent of a St Johns Ambulance 3-day first aid at work course.
Experience working in a healthcare setting or as a First Aid Officer is preferred.
Strong communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Previous experience working with young people (which we can reference)
Experience of teaching in a Secondary School (which we can reference)
Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (essential, we can provide the training)
Up to date Prevent awareness training issued in the last 3 years (essential, again, we can provide the training)
Up to date behaviour management & FGM training (desirable, however, training can be provided).TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application at a cost of £45.80.
Provide a minimum of two professional references.
