Academics Supply Agency is looking for a dedicated SEND Secondary Teaching Assistant to work in a variety of secondary schools. If you are committed to making a positive impact on students' lives and want to support their learning and development, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

Provide 1:1 or small group support for students with SEND, helping them access the curriculum and reach their full potential.
Assist in the development and implementation of tailored learning plans to meet the individual needs of students.
Support students in classroom activities, ensuring they engage and participate fully in lessons.
Help manage classroom behaviour and create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and other support staff to ensure effective learning.
Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a secondary school setting.
Understanding of a range of SEND needs (e.g., autism, dyslexia, ADHD, etc.).
Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
Patient, empathetic, and flexible with a genuine desire to help students succeed.
A willingness to undertake further training as required (e.g., behaviour management, autism awareness, etc.).
A Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable but not essential.
