Tutor – Vocational Courses

Location: Barrow in Furness
Salary: Up to £30,000
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday, Centre-Based)

Your Role as a Tutor

As part of the team, you will:

* Deliver engaging in-person training sessions to a caseload of learners

* Develop lesson plans & learning resources to meet individual needs

* Assess and mark learners' work, ensuring quality and compliance

* Work towards agreed targets with full support from the Manager

* Promote additional training opportunities to learners

* Collaborate closely with the Quality and IQA team

What We’re Looking For

* Strong communication & interpersonal skills

* Ability to adapt teaching style to different learners

* Self-motivated and organised, with great time management

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

* Teaching Qualification (e.g., PTLLS or equivalent)

* Assessor Qualification (or willingness to work towards)

* Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths, English, and IT

* Competency in subjects such as Team Leading, Customer Service, Business Admin, or Employability (desirable)
