Role Overview
We’re seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement team and ensure the timely, cost-effective supply of materials and services. You will work closely with internal departments and global suppliers, driving cost savings, improving processes, and supporting strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to secure the best value.
* Manage supplier relationships, ensuring quality, reliability, and timely delivery.
* Develop and track departmental KPIs to measure and improve performance.
* Drive cost-saving initiatives across the business.
* Lead and mentor the purchasing team, fostering growth and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with teams across Planning, Sales, Manufacturing, and Quality.
* Monitor demand forecasts to maintain optimal inventory levels.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
What We’re Looking For
* Qualifications:
* Degree in a relevant field (preferred).
* CIPS Level 6: Professional Diploma in Procurement and Supply (required).
* Experience:
* 10+ years in purchasing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
* Strong background in electronics manufacturing and modern procurement techniques.
* Skills:
* Proven negotiation skills and a track record of cost reductions.
* Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems.
* Ability to coach and develop teams.
* Strong knowledge of supply chain management and lean processes.
* Understanding of “green” supply chain practices.
