Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Mechanical Estimator to join our team. As a Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical projects, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems. Your expertise will play a key role in helping us secure new contracts and ensure the financial success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

* Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for mechanical systems.

* Review and interpret technical drawings and schematics to identify materials, labor, and equipment required for project completion.

* Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure estimates are aligned with project requirements and objectives.

* Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing.

* Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to support accurate and timely estimating processes.

* Prepare and submit bids in a timely manner, ensuring all aspects of the estimate are thorough and accurate.

* Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and post-bid evaluations as necessary.

* Monitor market trends and pricing strategies to ensure our estimates remain competitive and up-to-date.

* Assist in value engineering efforts to optimize project costs without compromising quality or performance.

* Provide support during contract negotiations and project handover to ensure a smooth transition from estimation to execution.

Qualifications:

* Proven experience as a Mechanical Estimator, preferably in the construction or engineering industry.

* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.

* Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.

* Proficient in using estimating software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Project).

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

* Relevant technical qualifications or a degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
