Swift Placements are working with a brand-new client base in Huddersfield who are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join their finance team on a fixed-term contract until November 2025. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the finance team in managing the financial operations of structural manufacturing business. This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in accounts administration, particularly within a manufacturing environment.

Monday- Friday
Hours of work: Mon-Thursday 8am-5pm | Fridays 8am-4pm on 40 hours a week.
Salary: £25,00- £27,000DOE!
Holidays – 23 days per year (includes 8 statutory days)

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
* Process invoices, credit notes, and payments accurately and efficiently.
* Reconcile supplier statements and follow up on discrepancies.
* Manage the aged debtors and creditors lists, ensuring timely payments and collections.
* Reconcile bank statements with general ledger accounts.
* Identify and investigate any discrepancies or unusual transactions.
Bank Reconciliation:
* Reconcile company bank accounts daily and resolve any discrepancies.
* Ensure all transactions are recorded in the accounting system promptly.
Financial Reporting:
* Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
* Support the Finance Manager in preparing reports for senior management.
* Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
General Administration:
* Maintain and update financial records and documentation.
* Support the finance team with general administrative tasks as required.
* Ensure all filing and archiving of financial documents are kept up-to-date.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as an Accounts Administrator or a financial background.
* Accounting: 1 year experience
* Bookkeeping: 1 year experience
* Sage: 1 year experience
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
* Proficiency in accounting software such Sage 50 and 200.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel.
* A degree or certification in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required.
