We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial principles, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records.

Responsibilities

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software.

* Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, receipts, sales, and payments.

* Reconcile and balance all accounts regularly.

* Process invoices, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

* Monitor and follow up on overdue payments.

* Prepare and send invoices to clients.

* Reconcile bank statements with general ledger entries.

* Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

* Generate and analyse financial reports, such as income statements and balance sheets.

* Provide regular financial updates to management.

* Process payroll accurately and on time.

* Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and reporting requirements.

* Track and manage company expenses.

* Verify and process employee expense reports.

* Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

* Assist in the preparation of financial audits.

Qualifications

* Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.

* Proficiency in Xero accounting software

* Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

* Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.

* Excellent organizational and time management skills.

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.

* Relevant certification (e.g., Certified Bookkeeper) is a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
