SEND Teaching Assistant

Forever Teaching is proud to be supporting a fantastic Secondary SEND School in Sale. We are looking for a compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team in a long term, full time role, supporting children across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 with needs such as Autism, ADHD, Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs and Behavioural Challeneges.

The SEND Teaching Assistant Role

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to the pupils, ensuring they feel confident and included.

* Assist with their academic work, adapting learning activities to suit their needs.

* Work closely with the class teacher, SLT and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.

* Help the pupils develop social skills, emotional regulation, and positive behaviour strategies.

* Encourage independence while offering the right level of support.

SEND Teaching Assistant Requirements

We are looking for someone who:

* Experience working with children with autism or special educational needs (SEND).

* Compassionate, patient, and proactive in your approach to supporting students.

* An understanding of how to tailor your teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

* A positive attitude and the ability to build strong relationships with both students and staff.

* A passion for supporting children’s educational and emotional development.
