Sewing Machinist and Cutter

MRF Design are bespoke furniture suppliers experienced commercial furniture designers and manufacturers based in Willenhall West Midlands. We are focused on providing a dedicated design service and producing quality furniture and upholstery solutions.

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Sewing Machinist and Cutter to join our team in Willenhall.

Key Responsibilities

As a sewing machinist, you will:

* Adjust machine settings to match different job requirements

* Operate machines to feed material accurately

* Inspect finished products to ensure they meet pattern specifications

* Clean and maintain the machines

* Sew a variety of fabrics, including cotton, wool, and industrial textiles

As a cutter, you will:

* Cut a variety of fabrics and vinyl with scissors and cutters

* Using patterns provided

* Taking measurements

* Working out the best way to arrange the patterns to get the best use out of the fabric

Skills, Abilities, and Experience

* Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination

* Proficiency in sewing and cutting

* Practical skills to operate machinery effectively

* Ability to maintain focus and quality, even under time constraints

Hours and Job Type:

* Full time, or Part time

* 8.00am - 4.30pm (Monday – Friday)
