Production Engineer (Assembly Department)

A selection of day and night shifts available

Salary: £30,000 - £40,000

Our client, a well-established manufacturing company, is seeking experienced professionals to join their team. If you have a strong background in operating a variety of tool room and workshop machinery, along with 5-10 years of hands-on experience in a production assembly environment, this role could be an excellent fit for you.

Who are we?

Duties to Include:

* To assist the Department Head in maintaining product output in the Assembly Area

* Department.

* To investigate and where possible offer suggestions for process improvements and/or cost reductions.

* To assist in running Assembly Machines when necessary to maintain production output.

* To assist in the training of new staff and progression training of existing staff.

* To diagnose faults and repair Assembly Machines and associated Equipment.

* To complete and update tasks using a Maintenance based software.

* To provide assistance as and when required to any and all members of the Assembly Area team.

* To provide assistance to Engineers from outside of the Assembly Area Department as and when required.

* To assist with any other requirements associated with the Assembly Area Department.

What we are looking for:

* 5-10 years experience within an assembly department.

* A good mechanical aptitude.

* The ability to diagnose faults associated with machine wear and product quality.

* Experienced working 24/7 or at least on a shift basis.

* Familiar with ISO 9001:2015

* Strong communication skills to speak to all levels of the business.

* Self-disciplined and motivated
