A great opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Assistant to join our small finance team at the Campden Charities on a full-time 18-month maternity cover contract. The role is office-based in Notting Hill Gate assisting the Finance Director with daily tasks and year-end preparations.
The role is expected to start as early as possible to enable sufficient training and handover, however, we can wait longer for the right candidate.

Main Duties include:
• Various data entry into Sage 50
• Processing grants
• Processing purchase invoices
• Prepare supplier payment runs
• Maintain spreadsheets outside Sage
• Assisting with payments
• Maintaining Fixed Assets register
• Assisting with year-end
Key requisites for candidates:
Essential
• Previous work experience within an accounting department
• Working knowledge of Sage 50 or similar accounting software
• Competent use of MS Office with strong Excel skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Professional, with a strong ethical and collaborative approach to business relationships
• Self-motivated individual with strong organisational skills and problem solving attitude
• Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet tight deadlines
Desirable
• Actively studying towards an accounting qualification
• Previous work experience in the processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable and bank accounts
