What will the role involve?

Managing the procurement of materials within your category
Issuing tenders and analysing supplier responses
Analysing cost drivers and tracking relevant commodity prices
Agreeing contractual terms with suppliers
Undertaking contract management and supplier relationship management activities
Delivering cost savings and added value within your category
Managing and developing internal and external stakeholder relationships

Ideal Skills and Experience

Excellent analytical skills with good working knowledge of MS Excel
Previous experience in a procurement / buyer role
CIPS qualification, or a willingness to work towards this
Strong relationship building / stakeholder engagement skills
Commercial acumenPrevious experience of tendering and contract negotiation would be an advantage
