The Opportunity
Due to our client’s expansive project growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Steelwork Technical Coordinator who will be responsible for Coordinating steelwork platform designs to ensure design is mature and liaising with the building layout and piping teams to coordinate the design, smoothing the path for timely engineering delivery.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Managing Open Points to mitigation and resolution.
Maintaining clients QA procedures in delivering the SW design.
Managing engineering changes in line with company procedures.
Resolving identified technical issues.
Receive, analyse and verify the consistency of the input data.
Manage schedule impacts resulting from changes.You will have the following qualifications & experience
Design of seismically classified steel platforms and structures from concept to detailed design delivery.
Use of 3D modelling and structural analysis tools.
Knowledge / Understanding of PWRs would be an advantage.
Knowledge and understanding of relevant Health and Safety regulations.
Experience in the nuclear sector and plant layout engineering would be advantageous.
Knowledge/understanding of the Eurocodes related to civil engineering and especially knowledge of the design of fastenings and anchorages in concrete.
Knowledge of the design of reinforced concrete and pre-stressed concrete structure.The setting for the role
Risks and Hazards are in line with working on a nuclear licenced site. These can include, nuclear fuel, radiation, chemicals and gasses, high voltage equipment, moving vehicles, flammable materials, high pressure circuits, steam, high noise and vibration levels. A full site induction will be provided, and all safety requirements must be adhered to when entering the site.
