The Opportunity

As a result, they are actively seeking an experienced Mechanical HVAC Engineer to join their dynamic team.

Our client are committed to providing flexible commercial and technical solutions that span the entire lifecycle of the nuclear industry at tiers 1, 2, and 3. This is an exciting opportunity to work on some of the most significant nuclear projects in the UK and Europe.

The role
As a Mechanical HVAC Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the review and acceptance of engineering queries raised by the site Contractor on the HVAC scope across the CI/BOP and Nuclear Island buildings. You will be challenged to think innovatively and work collaboratively to deliver safe, high-quality, and on-time solutions.

Your duties and responsibilities will be
Responding to General Queries, Non-Conformances, Change Request, and Exemption Requests originating from the MEH Contractor on site, with the support of the Responsible Designer, providing adequate oversight to ensure the Nuclear Safety and Environmental Regulation requirements are met.
The Mechanical HVAC Engineer will report to an Engineering Lead within the Review & Acceptance Branch of the Joint Design Office (JDO) at Hinkley Point C.
The role will be focused on the HVAC discipline but will be interfaced with other disciplines and with several parties, such as the site Contractors, Construction teams, Quality teams, Project Management teams, or Design teams.You Will Have the Following Qualifications & Experience
Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
Experience in HVAC design, installation, and/or commissioning .
Knowledge applying multi-disciplinary technical knowledge within the nuclear industry.
Understanding of the construction/installation industry.
Health & Safety legislation including CDM and Nuclear Site License requirements. Ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders, particularly those in a site environment.It's Great If You Also Have the Following
