Food Importer & Wholesaler

* Located- Near Waltham Cross

* Salary DOE -£45K to £55K

* Hours Mon to Fri 8am to 5pm

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Logistics you will have full responsibility for 15 staff on the day shift and 18 staff on the night shift plus 2 shift Managers in a multi-temperature warehouse. Other duties will include.

* Warehousing Best Practice – Including H&S (team and food), compliance and standards

* Manage employee performance including disciplinaries and promotions.

* Warehouse capacity planning, stock rotation and minimising wastage.

* Oversee maintenance of any warehouse-related vehicles and equipment.

* Oversee the warehouse operations, picking, day and night supervisors, goods in, security, cleaners, etc.

* Change implementation skills - look into team structure in the warehouse, picking operations (picking to route etc.) layout of the warehouse. This candidate would need to be very hands-on with leading those projects.

Your Skills & Experience

To be considered you will need.

* Warehouse Management experience within a Food manufacturing environment

* Team leadership and development skills. Strong people skills, approachable with excellent communication skills- written and verbal, ability to communicate at all levels

* Can bring in a lot of energy and enthusiasm into the warehouse

* Good IT knowledge is essential, SAP, Produmex, ability to learn quickly, Excel- essential (must know V-lookups and pivot tables.)

* Knowledge of Forklifts & Reach
