An opportunity to work for a regional Civil Engineering contractor that has diversity of work across Devon and Cornwall. Our client is a delivery contractor on 4 regional frameworks covering utilities, highways and environmental projects. As Assistant Project Manager you will:

* Be overall responsible for the day-to-day planning of works in line with the construction programme.

* Liaise with the Site Manager, Site Engineers, Client and Designers to ensure the successful delivery of a variety of Civil Engineering projects with values up to £3 million.

* Manage, take-offs, material and plant procurement etc.

* Identify and manage Temporary Work requirements.

* Be responsible for producing QA documentations ie., RAMS, CPP’s, permits etc.

* Administer EW’s, CE’s, valuations, applicants and forecasts.

Our client requires a Assistant Project Manager with:

* HND/HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering

* Experience with setting out or an eye for engineering detail

* SMSTS/SSSTS or IOSH

* CSCS and First Aid

* Excellent communication skills

* Experience of planning/programming software (preferable not essential)

* Strong leadership skills

Salary and benefits include:

* Up to £47,500 per annum

* Benefits package includes company vehicle, private medical insurance, paid holidays, pension etc.
