IMH Recruitment are looking for a reliable Field Operative to work on behalf of our client based in Leicester.
Work as part of a team to maintain highways, footpaths, and structures across Leicestershire and nearby areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to maintenance issues quickly and efficiently.
* Carry out general maintenance, drainage work, road repairs, and occasional construction.
* Operate 7.5-tonne lawn mowing vehicles (requires a clean licence).
* Perform tasks such as kerb laying, footway and road construction, excavations, drainage, block paving, slabbing, and brickwork.
* Handle gully emptying and resolve drainage problems.
* Lay and level bitumen and other road materials.
* Use specialist equipment like saws, compactors, and underground service detectors.
* Drive and operate specialist vehicles and equipment safely, following regulations.
* Perform routine vehicle and machinery maintenance to ensure safe operation.
Experience & Skills Required:
* Previous experience in highways maintenance or civil engineering.
* Strong knowledge of construction materials, specifications, and proper installation techniques.
* Valid UK Driving Licence
* 7.5 Tonne Licence
* NVQ in Highways Maintenance or similar
* Familiarity with safe working practices when using machinery and equipment.
Hours and Pay:
* 37 Hours per week.
* £13.48 Per hour.
