Job Title: Site Engineer
Location: Dudley
Salary: £43,000 - £47,000 per annum + Company Vehicle
Experience: Minimum 3 years in a site-based engineering role, specifically within highways or civil works, including drainage, kerbing, and surfacing.
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Engineer to join our team, working on the exciting Sprint bus project in Birmingham. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-profile transportation initiative, ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
·Site Management: Oversee and manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring that all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications. This includes supervising the work of contractors and ensuring that the site operates smoothly.
·Surveying and Setting Out: Conduct detailed site surveys, setting out, and leveling to ensure that all construction activities are aligned with design plans. Your precision and attention to detail will be critical in ensuring the project's success.
·Project Monitoring: Continuously monitor project progress, identifying and addressing any issues or delays that may arise. You will be responsible for reporting on progress to the project management team and ensuring that the project remains on track.
·Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. Your ability to communicate and coordinate with various teams will be key to achieving project goals.
·Health, Safety, and Quality Compliance: Ensure that all activities on-site comply with health and safety regulations and quality standards. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe working environment and delivering a high-quality final product.
·Documentation and Record Keeping: Prepare and maintain accurate site documentation and records. This includes daily logs, progress reports, and any other necessary documentation to support project management and compliance.
·Project Planning Assistance: Assist in the preparation of project plans and schedules. Your input will help shape the project's timelines and ensure that all aspects of the project are carefully planned and executed.
Qualifications and Experience:
·A minimum of 3 years' experience in a site-based engineering role, with a focus on highways or civil works.
·Proven experience in drainage, kerbing, and surfacing work is essential.
·Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
·Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
·Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
·A proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
