About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in challenging behaviours to join our supportive team. This full-time, long-term position is pivotal to our commitment to providing tailored support for students with diverse needs. The role is to support students with challenging behaviours, helping them engage effectively with their learning. This is a replacement role due to the previous TA’s transition to a different role within the school. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on students’ lives by providing them with the support they need to overcome challenges and succeed academically and socially. You will work closely with a supportive team and have the chance to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Application Requirements:
• Relevant experience working with students with challenging behaviours.
• Strong knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
• A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with challenging behaviours.
• Implement and adapt learning activities based on individual needs.
• Work closely with the class teacher to develop and deliver tailored support plans.
• Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
