Job duties;
TIG welding to ASME IX for casting repair and upgrade of both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Consumable stock control - ie weld wire, electrode etc.
Checks for chamber environment pre weld should vacuum chamber welding be conducted
Assessment of excavation site i.e. the condition of the prep for welding, this may involve manual dressing to suit.
Welding components in accordance with the relevant WPS documentation.
Conduct relevant weld qualification tests as required
Visual inspection of welds by other welders (post training )
Conduct casting upgrade (finishing) activities as and when required.Hours of work;
Monday to Thursday - 8am to 4.40pm, Friday 8am to 3.30pm - 39 hours worked
