SolidWorks Design Engineer Permanent Full-Time

Salary - Circa £42,000 DOE
Location - In office, Hull

We're excited to be supporting a specialist in delivering innovative energy recovery solutions, including circular waste heat recovery units and waste-to-energy power plants. They offer precision fabrication, prototyping, bespoke machinery design, and technical support, leveraging advanced tools like SolidWorks and Siemens NX. Specialising in sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, and design for manufacture (DFM).

Due to increasing demand and growth, they seek an ambitious SolidWorks Design Engineer to join their team of experts.

Responsibilities, but are not limited to

Create precise 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks, ensuring alignment with project requirements
Design and develop welded products, including pressure vessels, boilers, gantries, and heat exchangers
Collaborate with engineers to refine designs, optimize performance, and enhance manufacturing processes
Prepare technical documentation, such as design specifications, assembly instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs)
Liaise with suppliers and production teams to resolve technical issues and ensure smooth project delivery
Prioritize safety, quality, and regulatory compliance throughout the design processExperiences required

Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and 2D drafting (or similar software such as Inventor, Solid Edge, Creo, CATIA, Siemens NX, Fusion 360)
Experienced in creating detailed technical drawing packs for manufacturing (DFM)
Background in designing fabricated metal products, including boilers, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, gantries, storage tanks, steel frames, platforms, walkways, and material handling equipmentPackage
