Finance Manager - Mainstream Secondary School
Location: Hammersmith and Fulham
Contract: Long Term, Full Time
Rate: £24 - £29 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 36 hours per week, term time

The Role:
As Finance Manager, you will support the Director of Finance & Operations, leading the school's financial management. This role involves overseeing daily finance operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and income generation.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage daily financial operations, including payments, cashflow, and systems.
Provide financial advice and maintain controls across departments.
Assist in the creation and amendment of financial policies.
Lead efforts to increase income and reduce costs.
Oversee payroll, ensuring timely payments.
Assist with budgets, management accounts, and reports.
Coordinate audits and financial returns.
Ensure data protection compliance and support subject access requests.Person Specification:

Part or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIPFA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
Experience in a school or similar setting.
Strong communication skills to explain financial information to non-finance staff.
Excellent organisational and time-management abilities.
Knowledge of education finance and reporting.
