The primary responsibility is to fabricate components from aluminum sheets, steel sheets, tubing, and extrusion materials for the aerospace seating aftermarket business. This involves working from diagrams and engineering drawings to produce components using a range of hand tools and shop floor machinery while ensuring quality standards are consistently maintained.
The equipment and tools commonly used in this role include Trumpf machines, brake presses, cut-off saws, guillotines, hydraulic presses, fly presses, bandsaws, spot-welding machines, manual mill/drill combos, and pillar drills. During inspections, measuring instruments such as height gauges, protractors, radius gauges, verniers, and micrometers are utilized.
