Academics is currently recruiting a Cover Supervisor / Unqualified Teacher for secondary schools in Chester and the surrounding areas on a flexible, supply basis. You can tailor your hours to suit your schedule-whether you're looking for a few hours a week or more!

Role Overview:
As a Cover Supervisor / Unqualified Teacher, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring that lessons run smoothly and students continue to receive a high-quality learning experience in the absence of their regular teacher.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise secondary school students in the absence of their regular teacher
Deliver pre-planned lessons while maintaining an engaging and productive classroom environment
Manage classroom behaviour, ensuring a positive, respectful atmosphere
Follow school policies and procedures
Ensure students stay on task and focused on their workWhat we're looking for:

Previous experience supporting children or young adults is preferred but not essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Adaptability to different school environments
Enhanced DBS certificate (registered with the update service), or the willingness to obtain one
