We have a vacancy within our client's dedicated supported accommodation team for an outstanding UASC Assistant Manager. You will be committed to working to support asylum-seeking young people, helping them to improve their outcomes for a happy, successful life in the UK, but also specifically helping them with the asylum-seeking process, and associated citizenship and residency processes.
You will support young people on their journey to independent living, either living alone or in group supported accommodation provision.
You will need to be a dedicated team member; inspired by the difference you can make every day to the asylum-seeking young person/people you work with and support in their daily life/lives and routines. You'll need to be confident working alone, as is often the case with solo supported accommodation settings, and flexible to meet the needs of the role; as well as have a passion and commitment to your own learning and development in young people's social care.
Essential criteria:
A genuine commitment to supporting young people and anti-oppressive practice
Be working towards a QCF Level 3 Diploma
Previous experience of working in a young person's support setting, or a role/s where there are transferable skills
Good communication and IT skills
Must drive and have access to own vehicleShift pattern is a rolling 1 on 2 off to include night-time support allowance
