About the Opportunity:
Our client is looking for a Senior Accountant/ Manager to join their team who will be offered a variety of work.
About the Responsibilities:
This role will involve:
* Experience at Manager/ Senior level.
* Audit Experience.
* Managing a team of 6 staff members.
* Effectively managing practice client portfolio including everything from staff planning, management of WIP and billing.
* Building and further developing client relationships with existing and new clients.
* Displaying a strong commercial awareness in fee development.
* Displaying pro-active awareness of current relevant legislation, compliance standards
* Raising high quality business correspondence.
* Acting as the main point of contact for compliance queries from clients within portfolio.
* Quoting and estimating fees within your level of authority.
* Meeting clients to pitch and tender for new work and putting together associated documents.
* Business development – attending new client meetings and networking events.
* Effectively delegating work to, and mentoring, the team.
* Providing feedback to junior and senior team members about quality of work/performance.
* Managing the team including monitoring work in progress and work standards.
About the Applicant:
You will have:
* Confident, articulate and an effective communicator at all levels
* Well-presented and professional
* Patience in training colleagues
* ACA/ACCA Fully Qualified with 3+ years post qualification experience
* Up to date knowledge of corporate and personal taxes
* Strong time management skills
* Previous management experience
* Commercial and proactive approach to client development
