We are working exclusively with the team behind the Grainary & The Falcon as they are looking to bring on board a chef who can oversee the evening menu operation at The Grainary under the supervision and guidance of the Group Chef.  You will be working for a family business that are very hands and are passionate about delivering excellent food and service at both venues.  As a chef within the team, it will be your responsibility to deliver evening food service to room guests and locals 5 nights a week along with supporting the team at The Falcon as and when required.
With a starting salary from £27,000, you will also benefit from a generous share of tips, there is an emphasis on training & development, and you have the chance to be part of an passionate private hospitality business.
We are wanting to speak to chefs who come from a fresh food background with experience in either restaurant & hotels.  There is an expectation to use your own transport due to the locality of the venues and the different shift patterns.  The suitable chef would have a good personality & temperament with high standards for both the food they prepare and the kitchen they are working in.

What the role of Chef looks like:

Prepare and deliver menu items to specified recipes.
Work collaboratively under the guidance of the Group Head Chef
Ensure compliance with food safety, health and safety standards.
Attend meetings as required.
Actively contribute to the training and development of the junior team.
Be available to work at either site as and when requiredRequirements:

Excellent knowledge and understanding of Food Safety.
Relevant catering qualifications – City & Guilds or NVQ
Previous experience with fresh food in a pub/hotel or gastro pub setting.
Strong communication skills in English.
