Mechanical Design Engineer | Bournemouth | £45,000

Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking for an opportunity to work on innovative aerospace projects? Do you thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment where precision, quality and compliance are key?

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your purpose will be to develop new concepts and customise existing products to meet customer and regulatory requirements. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, you’ll ensure that designs are airworthy, cost-effective and optimised for manufacturing.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be:

Designing and developing components and systems for aerospace applications
Producing 3D models and technical drawings to strict regulatory standards
Ensuring all designs are suitable for manufacturing and airworthiness
Supporting production by troubleshooting build issues
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design and engineering processes
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, your skills and experience will include:

Experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment
CATIA V5 
Aircraft interiors design experience 
Knowledge of composite and metallic materials and manufacturing processes
Proficiency in 2D & 3D CAD software (training provided)
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
A degree, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in mechanical or aerospace engineering
