As a key member of a leading Solutions Provider in the Contact Centre technology niche based in Salford, you will be instrumental in maintaining and optimizing our VoIP infrastructure, focusing on Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk. You will be a primary contact for technical escalations, ensuring the reliability and performance of our communication systems. This is an exciting opportunity to leverage your specialized knowledge to drive improvements and maintain high service standards.
Daily Responsibilities:
Manage configuration and deployment of Telephony, SIP, PBX, and Phone Systems remotely, emphasizing Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk.
Lead technical escalations, utilizing in-depth knowledge of Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk for efficient resolution.
Investigate quality issues through SIP trace analysis, understanding the interaction of Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk.
Monitor RTP streaming, ensuring optimal audio quality within Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk environments.
Assist end-users with SIP device provisioning, often within VICIDial and Asterisk contexts.
Contribute to network configuration (Routers, Firewalls) to optimize VoIP traffic for Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk.
Monitor routers for packet loss impacting VoIP, focusing on traffic related to Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk.
Monitor supplier trunk traffic, ensuring seamless integration with our Kamailio and Asterisk infrastructure.
Maintain the availability of recording services related to VICIDial and Asterisk.
Update documentation on our Knowledgebase, focusing on Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk.Essential Skills:
Expertise in troubleshooting SIP messaging and tracing via Wireshark, specifically with Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk.
Strong familiarity with VoIP protocols (SIP, RTP, WebRTC) within the context of Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk.
Significant hands-on experience supporting and installing IP telephony systems, particularly Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk based solutions.
Excellent problem-solving skills for diagnosing complex issues within Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk environments.
Solid working knowledge of IP Networking and troubleshooting, understanding its impact on Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk.
Experience managing Routers, Firewalls, and network configuration for Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk deployments.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Quick learner with a strong technical aptitude, especially in VoIP and related technologies.
Commitment to continuous improvement of systems and processes.Desirable Skills:
Deep experience with Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk hosted solutions.
Familiarity with other VoIP projects like OpenSIPS and RTPEngine.
Experience designing and maintaining distributed applications at scale, involving Kamailio, VICIDial, and Asterisk.
