Apprentice Telecoms Engineer

Up to £23,000 depending on age / current level of experience

Our client in Bellshill is looking for an Apprentice Telecommunications Engineer to join their team. If you would be eager to build a career in telecoms and security systems, this is your chance to gain hands-on experience while working towards industry-recognised qualifications.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Assisting with the installation and maintenance of internet, phone systems, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarms

Learning how to diagnose and repair network faults and telecoms infrastructure issues

Working with structured cabling, fibre optics, and wireless technologies

Supporting both small-scale business setups and large commercial installations

What You’ll Achieve:

Diploma for Information Technology and Telecommunications Professionals (GL2T 48 / GL2R 46)

Health & Safety Training, including risk assessments and safe working practices

Electrical & Cabling Techniques – structured cabling, copper, and fibre optics

Telecoms System Installation & Fault-Finding

IP Networking & Broadband Technologies (LAN/WAN, VoIP, routing)

Working at Heights & Manual Handling Training

Wireless Communications & Radio Frequency Basics

What We’re Looking For:

A passion for telecommunications, networking, or security systems

A hands-on approach and willingness to learn new skills

Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail

A team player with good communication skills

A full UK driving license (or current working towards one with the aim of achieving it very soon)
