IMH Recruitment are currently working with Leicestershire County Council to source reliable Area Supervisors to undertake site-based work focusing particularly on REUSE at the sites.

The right candidate will need to be passionate about recycling reuse and diverting waste from landfill and disposal routes into reuse.

The role will mainly field based, travelling to RHWs and WTSs. There may be some ability to work from home or from County Hall, but this is expected to be minimal. The role is a supervisor of site staff across all the Council’s waste sites.

We will provide PPE and may be some uniform requirements, particularly the potential wearing of a Body Worn Camera (BWC). The BWC will only record and make footage available for download, if activated by the holder. These are part of uniform for all field based staff, unless reasonable adjustments should be considered.

Hours & Pay:

* Working pattern to be agreed with line manager based on 37 to 40 hours per week across 7 days.

* Weekend work is mandatory, preferably 1 in 2, but a minimum of 1 in 3. Overtime is likely to be available.

* £16.00 P/Hour.

In regards to mileage claims, we would agree a base / work location which would form the standard commute mileage. This is likely to be one of the Council’s primary RHWSs (excluding Whetstone) that is the closest one to where the candidate lives. So for the purposes of mileage claims, the base is likely to be one of Barwell, Coalville, Loughborough, Market Harborough Melton, Mountsorrel or Oadby. They can then claim mileage undertaken daily that is above their commute to and from that agreed primary RHWS.
