Although the housing stock is owned by the Borough, day to day management, maintenance and asset investment is the responsibility of the client.
In the last three years we have in-sourced the repairs service, grass cutting service, started an large scale transformation programme for both residents and colleagues, have achieved Customer Service Excellence & Domestic Abuse Housing Alliance accreditation, delivered an Energiesprong retrofit programme, and will be delivering our new asset investment programme based on the best stock condition survey data in the sector, along with much more. The local population is growing and the need to deliver a supply of affordable homes has never been greater. our client is quickly becoming a service provider of choice for additional council specialist housing services and has been successful in a partnership bid with a Registered Provider for a stock rationalisation programme where over 500 homes in the local area will fall into the clients management.
We are looking for an experienced Electrical & Lifts manager to manage the internal portfolio ensuring the delivery of the programmed electrical& lifts improvement and cyclical Planned Maintenance.
You be specifying and manage electrical & lifts contracted works to ensure that the required standards of quality, contracted performance and value for money are achieved. Including initial survey and site assessment, planning and technical research as necessary, preparation of drawings and sketches, making calculations, and preparing the specification documents for tender.
You will be part of a team carrying out the procurement process on suitable projects and liaise with the Contracts Officer, in accordance with Department's policies and procedures.
You will deliver programmed electrical & lift engineering works within the tendered price, achieving the required financial targets, and ensuring that the specification and contract conditions are fulfilled.
Candidates should have a formal Electrical Qualification (and or a lift or VT Qualification) and have worked for a public body or provider in a managerial capacity
