Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with a successful business in Rotherham as they look to recruit a part time Finance Assistant into their team on a permanent basis.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily recording of bank receipts & payments
Reconciliation of bank accounts including foreign currency bank accounts
Responsible for the purchase order process including creating and sending purchase orders to suppliers
Matching good receipts and deliveries to PO’s and investigating where necessary
Processing of purchase invoices
Supplier statement reconciliations
Dealing with supplier queries
Processing of customer sales invoices
Credit control, including chasing of debts
Reconciliation and postings of expense claims
Posting of journal entries
Assisting with the month end reporting
Updating and reconciliation of the fixed asset register
Assist with the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
Assist in preparing the VAT returns
Assist with the production of monthly payroll
Support the finance manager in any other tasks as reasonably required
Personal Specification

AAT or equivalent (desired)
Previous experience of working in a similar finance/accounts role
Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment (desired)
Previous experience of Xero (desired)
Confident in using Microsoft software including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
Ability to communicate across various departments
Self-starter and proactive team player
Analytical mindset
Reliable and trustworthy
