Delivering high-quality instruction, fostering student growth, and working with colleagues to improve students' learning experiences are all important tasks for a Higher-Level Teaching Assistant. You will be able to assist in developing the curriculum, mentor other staff members, and conduct class lectures.
Everyone employed by a school must have an upgraded DBS on file with the updating service. If you don't, we can help by providing you with a direct application link. An OSPC (Overseas Police Check) is required if you have worked abroad for more than six months in the last five years. All school environments will need to have these as a safeguarding measure.
As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support the learning and development of pupils across the primary age range.
Deliver lessons and interventions in the absence of the class teacher, ensuring progress for all learners.
Work collaboratively with teachers to plan and deliver engaging activities that meet the needs of diverse pupils.
Provide tailored support to individuals and small groups, helping them achieve their full potential.
Take an active role in the assessment of pupil progress, contributing to planning and reporting.
To thrive in this role, you must have:
Relevant HLTA qualifications (or equivalent Level 4 qualification).
Proven experience working in a primary school setting.
A confident understanding of the primary curriculum and strategies to support learning.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
A proactive and flexible approach to supporting the dynamic needs of a primary classroom.
