Transport Planner

Company Overview: Our client, a specialist in transport, logistics, container, and warehouse services, is seeking a Transport Planner to join their expanding team. They offer comprehensive end-to-end logistics solutions to their customers.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate systems such as Destin8, TOPs, and Port VBS.
Plan and schedule routes for fleet and container deliveries/pickups.
Coordinate with stakeholders and departments to ensure smooth operations.
Oversee daily transport operations, ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
Provide regular delivery updates to customers and address any arising issues, such as route changes.
Maintain strong customer relationships to meet their transportation needs.
Analyze transport costs and identify opportunities for cost savings.

Requirements:

Proficiency in systems like Destin8, TOPs, and Port VBS.
Previous experience in transport planning.
Experience in containers is essential
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with suppliers, drivers, and colleagues.

Fulltime – Monday to Friday

Salary £35,000 to £40,000 dependent on experience
