They are seeking a Research Associate to join a dynamic R&D group performing various immune-based assays. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a talented and motivated scientist to contribute to a growing pipeline of assets in an exciting and highly dynamic environment focused on developing cutting-edge cellular therapies.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct molecular and cell-based assays to enhance the understanding of CAR-Tregs and their impact in preclinical in vitro and in vivo models.
* Assist in the development of novel assays and methods to investigate CAR-Treg cell function.
* Aid in the development and testing of innovative and relevant immune regulatory assays/models.
* Collaborate with and support scientists within the translational medicine group.
* Provide support in day-to-day laboratory operations to ensure the smooth running of lab teams.
* Author experiment write-ups and reports.
* Create and maintain compliant process documentation.
* Work with external service providers as required.
* Supervise staff as necessary.
* Compile batch documentation and ensure accuracy.
* Participate in the manufacture of research-grade viral vector products.
Reporting Relationships:
* Reports to the Group Leader on Research & Development.
* Works closely with other members of the Scientific Research & Development team, CMC, and Process Development team.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
* BSc/MSc in Biology/Immunology or related discipline.
* Familiarity with a range of immunological cell-based techniques and tests.
* Experience with mammalian cell culture, ideally human immune cell culture.
* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to present results clearly and logically, working cooperatively as part of a team and independently.
* Ability to efficiently identify and implement solutions to improve processes.
* Good attention to detail and record keeping.
* Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to prioritize activities.
* Proven commitment to high-quality work and maintenance of high standards.
* Solid understanding of cell biology and immunology.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Contribution to a culture that embraces scientific excellence, integrity, urgency, patient centricity, and continuous improvement.
Desired Skills and Experience:
* Familiarity with a range of immunological cell-based techniques and tests, e.g., Flow Cytometry, ELISA.
* Experience with mammalian cell culture, ideally human immune cell culture.
* Solid understanding of T cell biology and immunology.
* Ability to perform molecular and cell-based assays to improve understanding of engineered Tregs and their impact in preclinical in vitro and in vivo models.
* Assist in the development of novel assays and methods to investigate engineered Treg cell function.
* Aid in the development and testing of novel and relevant immune regulatory assays/models.
