Customer Support Engineer**
A global manufacturer is seeking to appoint a Customer Support Engineer with proven experience in a mechanical or manufacturing engineering support role. This is a permanent, full-time position working day shifts from Monday to Friday. **Key Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and sales teams to review design inquiries from customers and internal sales managers.
- Cross-reference design specifications against company standards to ensure accuracy and efficiency in customer orders and associated costings.
- Communicate effectively with internal engineering and production teams, customers, and suppliers to address and resolve fundamental issues.
- Provide high-value customers with professional solutions, confirm pricing, and offer technical advice in person, via telephone, and in writing.
- Respond to technical specifications for the supply of manufactured products, and perform mechanical performance calculations using internal design programs.
**Qualifications and Skills:**
- Educational background in physics, chemistry, and/or mechanical engineering, with skills in material tolerances, strength testing, and mechanical measurements, is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, and Access) is required. The role also involves data input and managing customer product availability within the ERP system.
