Job Description: Workshop Technician

We are recruiting on behalf of our client in Horsham, who are looking for an experienced Workshop Technician with a background in electro-mechanics. This is a hands-on, full-time role with a salary of up to £30,000 per annum. The role requires practical experience in electrical testing (up to 240 volts) and the ability to interpret engineering drawings for product assembly, testing, and repair.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assembly and Repair: Assemble, test, and repair electro-mechanical products according to engineering specifications and technical requirements.

* Electrical Testing: Perform electrical testing up to 240 volts while adhering strictly to safety standards.

* Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve faults in both electrical and mechanical components, using specialised diagnostic tools.

* Documentation: Keep accurate records of completed work, including testing, repairs, and any product modifications.

* Team Collaboration: Work with engineering and quality assurance teams to ensure high standards of product performance and reliability.

Essential Requirements:

* Demonstrated experience as a Workshop Technician within an electro-mechanical setting.

* Proficiency in safe electrical testing practices, including handling of voltages up to 240V.

* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.

* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

* Relevant technical qualifications or equivalent practical experience in electrical or mechanical engineering.

Desirable Skills:

* Familiarity with quality control documentation and procedures.

* Experience using a variety of testing and diagnostic equipment.
